Wuthering Walk

"I have just returned from a visit to my landlord - the solitary neighbour that I shall be troubled with. This is certainly a beautiful country! In all England, I do not believe I could have fixed on a situation so completely removed from the stir of society"

  1. Tonia - Finally I manage to comment on this post. I've just finished reading a second hand copy of The Third Miss Symon's. There are two regerences to the Bronte sisters, and both those pages have been turned over by a previous reader... Having spent last night talking Bronte with a friend I shall ensure I read at least one in 2012.

  2. It's actually a bit of a secret shame with me that I've only ever read and enjoyed Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre (in that order of preference). Might try to make 2012 the year I finally get through The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. Poor Anne - she felt slightly overlooked even in the Parsonage.
